VJC Homecoming: 2023-2026

The VJC Homecoming has become a cherished tradition that brings Victorians back to the college to reconnect with one another and celebrate the community that continues long after graduation. Since the inaugural Homecoming in 2023, alumni across different cohorts have returned to relive shared memories, renew friendships and create new ones. Each Homecoming has offered something for everyone. Alumni have taken part in friendly sporting competitions, explored the campus through student-led tours, gathered for CCA reunions, and enjoyed the ever-popular Kampung Breakfast generously sponsored by OVA. Families have also joined in through activities designed for children, making Homecoming a celebration across generations. One of the most meaningful moments each year is the Special Assembly, where alumni return to the hall to sing the Victorian Anthem, hear updates from the college, and celebrate the enduring bond shared by generations of Victorians. Together with reunions, conversations with former teachers, and familiar traditions, these moments continue to strengthen the VJC community. From 'Recall, Relive, Reunite' in 2023, to 'Keep Our Flag Unfurled' in 2024, and 'Past, People, Possibilities' in 2026, every Homecoming has reflected the same enduring spirit—celebrating friendships, honouring shared experiences, and strengthening the connections that make the Victorian community so special. As the tradition continues to grow, Homecoming remains a place where every Victorian is welcomed back.

OVA Wong Hung Khim Golf Fellowship 2025

Together with our passionate and supportive alumni, OVA successfully organised the OVA Wong Hung Khim Golf Fellowship 2025 held on 22 October 2025 at Tanah Merah Golf & Country Club—bringing Victorians together for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and shared purpose. More than just a game, the event was a truly meaningful occasion for alumni to reconnect, forge new friendships, and celebrate the enduring bonds of the Victorian community. The strong response—half of the flights sold within just four hours of launch—was a clear and encouraging reflection of the enthusiasm and spirit that continue to unite Victorians across time. The day was marked by a lively and welcoming atmosphere on the greens, with participants enjoying not just the game but the opportunity to reconnect and share moments together. Laughter, friendly competition, and easy conversations carried throughout the course, reflecting the strong sense of camaraderie that defines the Victorian community. Events like these continue to play an important role in bringing alumni together—creating space for meaningful interactions, strengthening bonds, and keeping the community active and engaged. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all participants and alumni for their generous support. Proceeds from the event will go towards the publication of "Greater than Ourselves," a commemorative OVA book marking Victoria School's 150th anniversary. Featuring remarkable stories from across the community—teachers, students, support staff, and alumni—the book shares stories that inspire current and future Victorians to lead meaningful lives in service of something greater than themselves. It stands as a tribute to the lasting and significant impact and leadership of Victorians across time, both locally and globally. OVA expresses our sincere gratitude to our Guest of Honour, Mr. Wong Hung Khim, as well as our special guests, Mr. Jeffery Low (Principal, VJC) and Mr. Low Chun Meng (Principal, VS), for their support. Our thanks also go to the Organising Committee, whose dedication made this event possible.

VJC 40th Anniversary Dinner 2024

VJC 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner

On 27 July 2024, more than a thousand alumni, former staff and distinguished guests gathered at Shangri-La Singapore to commemorate Victoria Junior College's 40th Anniversary with a gala dinner. From members of the pioneer batch to recently graduated J3s, the evening brought together four decades of Victorians in a heartfelt celebration of shared memories, lifelong friendships and the remarkable journey of the college. The gala dinner celebrated not only the milestones of VJC, but also the people who have shaped its legacy. Alumni reconnected with former classmates and teachers, reminisced over cherished moments, and renewed friendships that have endured long after graduation. The occasion reflected the strong bonds forged through the VJC experience and the lasting pride shared across generations of Victorians. The celebration was made especially memorable with the presence of Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, a member of the Class of 1989, who attended as Guest of Honour. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a programme of speeches, performances and commemorative moments that honoured the college's achievements while celebrating the vibrant community that continues to carry the Victorian spirit forward. As VJC marked its 40th anniversary, the gala dinner was more than a celebration of the past—it was a tribute to the enduring relationships, shared values and collective achievements that define the college. Bringing together generations of alumni under one roof, the evening reaffirmed that while campuses may change and time moves on, the Victorian spirit continues to unite the community for years to come.
